SERBAN SCRIECIU
Amateur photographer working with both digital and film photography, and with a weak spot for street photography, abandoned places, urban and industrial structures, and black and white imagery. Serban strives to explore alternative facets of reality for which photography has the potential to transfigure or reveal. He also works, when given the opportunity, on projects combining research/writing on sustainable development issues with photography for a more powerful conveyance of information. Alternative forms of photographic display and other experimental interactions with the viewer are also trialled.
Serban has successfully participated in local and international photography competitions, exhibited both standard and more experimental photographic displays, and has had some of his work published in books or magazines.
